Donor insemination results in pregnancy in approximately 20 % per cycle and is relevant for single women, female couples and couples with severely reduced sperm count.

More information

Before treatment, you will have a gynaecological examination, ultrasound, blood tests and examination of the fallopian tubes. An individual course of treatment is then planned.

Facts and FAQ

Treatment is cancelled if too many follicles develop due to the risk of multiple pregnancy. If there is no pregnancy, the procedure is repeated by appointment. If the test is positive, you will have an ultrasound in week 7-8. Donor sperm is ordered from Danish sperm banks such as European Sperm Bank, Cryos or SelmerDiers.
